Andrew was born and raised along the Mighty MIssissippi in Dubuque, IA. Andrew spent alot of time with his cousin creating stories and adventures,along with following the dramatic stories of pro wrestling in the late 90's-early 00's,and it sparked him to want to create art for a living. 

Andrew is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago with a BA in Theatre with a focus in Lighting Design. Shows Andrew has designed include: Comedy of Errors(Chicago Academy of the Arts), Tamer of Horses(Stone Soup Theatre Project), The Clean House(Crabapple Productions), War and Peace(Viaduct Theatre), Frankenstein and Eleemosynary(Loyola University of Chicago). Andrew also received the 2012-2013 Raoul "Doc" Johnson award, which is a scholarship awarded yearly to a junior who shows design potential 

Andrew also spent a year as a lighting design intern at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. A short list of artist Andrew had the pleasure of working with included: Tilly and the Wall, Mark Kozelek, The Royal Concept, Jay Brannan, Joe Pug,and Spoek Mathambo.

Andrew had the pleasure to spend the 2014/15 Season as an intern at the Milwaukee Rep Theatre. While there, Andrew was the ALD for The Color Purple, Harvey, and the Rep's long running production of A Christmas Carol. Andrew also spent time working with the local IATSE crew. He worked with union electricians on hang and focus calls, and did weekly maintenance checks during the runs of shows with the Rep's Master Electrician.

Andrew is excited to spend his fall in Flat Rock, North Carolina. He will be working as an electrician at Flat Rock Playhouse, which is the state theatre of North Carolina. 

Andrew is also excited to move back to his favorite city of Chicago in January 2016 to help light up the stages in the Windy City!
